You already know how it goes. It's five o'clock, dinner needs making and the kids are squabbling. Out comes the tablet, silence falls and the guilt sets in. Then, when it has to be switched off, the tantrums start all over again.
The toys you've bought just don't last. Five minutes, then they end up in the toy box. It's not your child's fault: toys run out of challenges, while the game on the screen always has one more level.
This puzzle always has one more level too. The pieces slide into the frame's grooves just like in Tetris, and the cards run from three simple shapes all the way to a full frame. At three you build freely, at six you follow the cards, and after a few weeks your child invents their own shapes.
The result: half an hour at the kitchen table, and the only sound is a piece sliding into place.
